The Hanging Leaf

It amazes me how God speaks to me through things I’d least expect. Things like this leaf that was hanging on to this tree. When I saw it for the first time I never really thought why it was the only one left.

The next day I walked past the tree it was still there.

I looked at again the next day it was still there.

This went on for a week until I finally stopped to examine it. When I stopped the Holy Spirit spoke two simple words into my heart. Those words were HOLD ON!

Those two simple words stuck with me, they had hit me so hard to where I was completely in awe.

I always talk to God about my future because I'm such an anxious person, and I want to know everything before it happens.

What God was showing me is I don't know when I'm going to fall into the place where He's going to lead me, I don't know what He has in store, but He knows. I just need to hold on, keep pushing, believe in myself, trust in Him, and not give up because He is with me through it all.

He was letting me know that no matter what He would be with me. Yes, everyone else may know exactly what they're going to do. Yes, some people are ahead, but I have to understand that they are where they are supposed to be, and I'm right where I'm supposed to be! I'm on purpose and so are they.

I encourage you to hold on! It doesn't matter what you're going through. Do not give up because God is going to lead you to greater things than you could ever imagine, but just hold on. You're not behind, you're on purpose.
