Hey, beautiful people. Welcome back to Coffee Dates with Jesus! Today’s post is very special and sentimental to me, and I am so excited to share what Holy Spirit has shown me! Grab your coffee, tea, or whatever drink suits your fancy, and let’s see what Holy Spirit has been saying.
A couple of months ago, I was cleaning out my room because we all must take the time to declutter our spaces. I was anxious the whole week because I was uprooting and walking into a season of change again. One thing that I have noticed is that whenever I am afraid or anxious, I tend to find this laminated index card in one of my drawers. The card in the picture says, “When I am afraid, I will trust in thee. -Psalm 56:3” Holy Spirit took me back to the exact moment this was given to me.
Nine years ago, I was at a dance competition. The company that I was representing at the time was sitting next to another dance studio, and I noticed that each girl had a laminated index card with them. I did not think much of it, so I just sat there waiting on the awards. I was not nervous, but a little girl named Hannah gave me the card in the picture. She said, "This is for you." Little did she know, I may not have needed that verse then, but since that day, it has been put into my survival guide.
So, Miss Hannah, you may never read this letter, but I want to add this to your survival guide by speaking this letter over you.
To Hannah, the sweet girl on my left:
Thank you for being obedient to Holy Spirit, and passing along an important part of your survival guide to mine. When we briefly met, you were a little younger than me, so you should be getting ready to graduate or you may be going to college. Whatever direction you're headed, you're still entering a new season full of the unknown. I don't know if you are still dancing or still passing along your laminated words of wisdom, but wherever you are in life, I want you know that you were made for such a time as this. Holy Spirit has placed a sweet spirit of love on the inside of you that you have been seeing unfold your entire life. He wants you to know that it is time for you to start operating in your calling. Because of the beautiful personality that Holy Spirit has bestowed upon you, people will intentionally speak of you in great reverence according to your character. Every room that you enter is God ordained, so walk like it, talk like it, live like it. You are more than enough.
In this season of life, you are going to have to walk with boldness in your purpose. I declare that you will believe that you are the salt of the Earth, a person of great reliability. You are a person who is trustworthy. God has called you to do some mighty things within this Earth, and there is nothing that anyone can say or do about it. May your ministry of laminated words of wisdom continue to flourish, and may they continue to bless people. And remember, you can always report back to your survival guide to remind yourself of Psalm 56:3, "When I am afraid, I will trust in Thee."
Sincerely,
the stranger to your right
Thank you for reading one of my passions: writing letters to strangers. There are more of these to come because CDWJ will have a new blog post every Wednesday evening at 6:00! Thank you for your support <3
