I recently went on vacation to Atlanta, Georgia, and the city is just beautiful. During the trip, I began to write letters for some people that I conversed with, smiled at, or just saw from afar. No, I didn't give these letters to them because that's not how it works. I sometimes write letters to strangers who will never read them and never know it's about them. Enjoy.
Dear Adventurer,
As you travel to new places, find yourself in these beautiful destinations, you don’t have to rush. Take a moment to enjoy where you are, and bask in the beauty of the moment because it is times like these where you'll hold on to things forever.
Sincerely,
a stranger
Dear elderly couple holding hands,
Both of you are so precious. Thank you for showing people that love grows as we grow.
Best Wishes,
a stranger
Dear joyous baby,
Please remain just the way you are. Keep smiling. Keep dancing. Keep falling and getting right back up. Keep laughing. Keep singing. Keep being the beautiful soul that you are.
With a happy heart,
a smiling stranger
Dear Coca-Cola Factory Employee,
Your essence lights up the room. Your joy makes me smile. If I had to spend the day with a stranger, I'd pick you. You're so amazing. Thank you for choosing to be sunshine on a rainy day.
With Love,
a stranger
Dear Beautiful Girl In The Wave Pool,
I had so much fun talking and fighting waves with you. Thank you for allowing me to be your wave pool buddy. You are one of a kind.
Sincerely,
the stranger who is easily 10 years older than you
Dear Waiters and Waitresses,
For everything you do out of love, out of kindness, and out of empathy may you know that you are seen. May you know someone appreciates you. May you know it’s okay to experience love and happiness. May you know that you are worthy to receive the same love, kindness, empathy, and patience you give to someone. Love is for you too. Kindness is for you too. Empathy is for you too. Thank you for choosing to show up. Thank you for being patient with very difficult people. Thank you for all that you do.
Sincerely,
a stranger you served
Dear Lady At Bible Study,
Everything will be okay. It takes time for things to become easier. Be proud of yourself for making the first step. One step in the journey is still growth. Just live. :)
With Love,
the stranger to your right
Thank you for 4 great years. -Taleigh E. Reed, Coffee Dates With Jesus
